TMA Research Grants Program
At The Myositis Association, our vision is a world without these debilitating diseases. We know the only way to achieve this ideal is through scientific research. That’s why investing in innovative research is at the heart of our mission.
TMA offers a competitive Research Grants Program to fund innovative research into immune-mediated myopathies. In the 2026 grant cycle, we will offer an array of funding opportunities, according to the following RFPs:
- Cure IBM Research Fund at TMA Grant for a project related to inclusion body myositis.
- IBM/IMNM Fellowship for a project related to inclusion body myositis and/or immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy.
- Immune-Mediated Necrotizing Myopathy Research Grant that focuses on IMNM or one of its subtypes.
- Meredith C. Thomas Memorial Fellowship for a project related to interstitial lung disease and/or antisynthetase syndrome.
Qualified investigators are welcome to apply for more than one grant. More information about these funding opportunities is available here. To receive announcements about this fellowship and other notifications of interest to myositis clinicians and researchers, please join TMA as a healthcare provider.
